Weeks 1 & 2: classroom instruction and in-clinic shadowing at the Iowa State University College of Veterinary Medicine

Weeks 3 & 4 (optional): full-time shadowing externships at private clinics in Chicago

Each weekend: field trips to innovative veterinary facilities

Networking and cultural exchange with US veterinary students, US veterinary school faculty, and US veterinary practitioners

Our Pricing

Tuition varies depending on how many weeks of the program you choose to attend: two weeks, three weeks, or all four weeks.

What’s NOT Included in the Price

Food: Participants will have access to kitchen facilities throughout the program and can expect to spend about $50 on food per week if they prepare it themselves.

Travel insurance: During their time at the program, participants must carry travel insurance meeting certain guidelines. This can be expected to cost about $40 to $100, depending on their age.

Transportation to and from the program: Round-trip airfare can be expected to cost approximately $1,700 if flying from Beijing.

Rabies vaccine: Participants must provide, upon arrival at the program, documentation demonstrating that they have been vaccinated for rabies.

US visa: The application fee for a US visa is $160.
